Encouragement!

Here is a short video I made sharing what I felt the Lord put on my heart.  I pray that you would feel encouraged or at least feel like there might be a glimmer of hope, knowing that you are not alone!  Life is messy…but in our mess stands One who came to take our mess and turn it into something beautiful!

  1. Amen, Cherie! Here’s a couple of notes that I wrote on my fb page (what God put on my heart) dealing with this same issue:

    1) If you are struggling or feeling frustrated, that means you are trying to do something in the flesh. Give it to God immediately and go about doing good. And if the devil whispers in your ear, “What are you going to do about it? What are you going to do about it? What are you going to do about it?” Tell him, “Nothing at all.” You need to stop trying to do something about something you cannot do anything about. You need to stop trying to get rid of things that only God can get rid of. And you need to stop trying to get all these things that you are never going to get unless God decides to give them to you.

    2) When your soul finally says, “I’m done trying to do it all, done trying to figure it all out, done planning and failing. I’m done. God, it’s all in your hands. I’m just going to meet you every morning to get to know you, to ask you to fill my spirit with your Spirit and to read your Word to renew my mind, so I will think your thoughts which lead to life, instead of my thoughts which lead to destruction.” Once your soul comes to this decision, it’s kind of like your soul committing suicide. Once your soul makes this decision, there’s peace. There’s peace because you have finally stopped your own efforts, stopped trying to change yourself, stopped trying to make it happen, just stopped. That’s when God takes over and there’s peace. Peace that passes all understanding, because you know God is directing your path and leading you down the path of righteosness for his name’s sake. God has it all under control. Just sit back and enjoy!

    3) “Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me. Bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and forget not all his benefits. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases. Who redeemeth thy life from destruction, who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies. Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things, so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle.” Psalm 103:10- — These are some of my favorite verses to say to myself when my soul gets all upset about something. What do you say to your soul when it gets all upset?

Thanks again for sharing your heart. I will continue to pray for you.
    Barbara 🙂
